A very touching and sometimes troubling book to read. The story of abuse is very real, and if you've grown up with it yourself, you may find parts of this difficult to read. Having said that, I think the author did a great job of pulling together a great story. Intense, powerful, and moving, I think you will enjoy Sins Of The Father...Product details

Sins of the Father eBook Jamie Canosa Reviews
This book could be described as heart-breaking and then hear-mending. It successfully portrays those dark topics such as betrayal, abuse, kidnap, revenge, neglecting, and death; while in the same breath portrays hope, trust, belief, and wanting. All of these things are combined and churned in a realistic world with crazy circumstances that make your head spin, in a positive way.
It is truly one of the best romances that I've got my hands on in a long time. It's not cliche or superficial or anything like that, because to me, it really seemed genuine, like you could feel it bounce off the pages at you. The author skillfully weaves a blossoming love story in the most unexpected of places. But if I'm honest, the thing that magnetized me towards this book, is the characters. I almost couldn't believe how attackingly I fell in love and rooted for these strong characters, that deserved a happy ending.
I guarantee you that this is just one of the books that you'll feel compelled to read in one sitting, as you can't tear your gaze away from the pages. Now stop reading this review and go get the book yourself!
I received this book from the author for the purpose of this review. All comments and opinions are entirely my own.
Suspenseful action. Fast moving storyline. And a smooth, detailed writing style. These are some of the aspects of Sins of the Father as we follow the life of Ophelia and Sawyer.
Honestly, I couldn't even finish chapter one. The book opens with a party scene at college, an almost rape and cuss words used profusely. A** was used more than 5 times, d**n used twice, s***head used once, and the "f" word used twice, and I didn't even finish the chapter. I was probably 5 pages into the book with all of this going on so I can only imagine how much more was used through the rest of the 305 pages of this book.
I'm sorry to say that even though the storyline may be intriguing and well written, the cursing and content present is not worth that story. I can only give Sins of the Father 1 out of 5 stars and do not recommend it to any of my followers.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
While at a party, a knight in shining armor comes to Ophelia’s rescue, taking her away from a would be bad situation with a party going frat boy. Only to wake up finding herself kidnapped by her knight in not so shiny armor. Sawyer doesn’t want to hurt Ophelia, but he is trying to help his friend in hopes of gaining some peace of mind. Sawyer and his friend Frank soon find out that kidnapping doesn’t exact revenge or get them the acknowledgement or monetary gains they so desire.
This was a beautifully woven tale of love, loyalty, friendship, pain and losses so great that they bind people to one another. I read it in one entire sitting. This was not a “put it down” kind of book, at all.
Sawyer is a classic good guy who has been handed a long list of crap. He wants to be good, but he also wants to help his friend who have an immense connection.
Ophelia doesn’t give off this air that she’s at all a rich kid, she’s more quiet and unassuming. She likes a quiet night with a good book. My kind of night too!
Now with kidnapping books, there is always a question of whether it’s going to be Stockholm Syndrome-y and this book manages to avoid that beautifully. This is possibly the most viable, fall-in-love while being kidnapped scenario ever! No creepiness involved!
I really liked this book. The writing was excellent and the story kept me intrigued and wanted to keep coming back to see what had happened if the past and what was going to happen in the future. The characters were very well developed and the feelings and actions were believable.
This would have been a 5 star read except for the ending. It was moving along at a great pace, but then everything quickly was wrapped up and it was just over. I felt like I was left hanging and I was not satisfied that everything was resolved. We don't get Sawyer's voice after the big climatic ending. We only hear what happens though Ofelia and that is all her telling it after the fact.
I wanted to hear from Sawyer fist hand what happened after and how he dealt with it all. I also was really disappointed that there was no closure at all for Sawyer and Frank. Frank was a very complex character. I wanted to see how things played out with him when all was said and done. Did he see the error of his ways, once he realized the kind of person Ofelia was? We he and Sawyer able to work though all that had happened between them?
I actually forgot that I finished the book. I was anxious to get back to it, to read the rest and get the answers we wanted. It was a big disappointment when I remembered that I had finished the book and I would never get the answers I wanted.
Very good book!
The book had a good plot but the sin the father committed I thought should have been much worse.
While this story lacked the fire I am accustomed to. It was still a good read. Sawyer"s story was amazing. It's really something that he dealt with so much abuse in childhood and he turned into s really caring productive adult.
